Informal letters:

 

                    This type of letters are written to your family members, Relatives, Friends, People who are closes to us or Known very well to us. In this type of letters include letter to your Friend, Father, Mother, Sister, Cousins, Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents and nieces.

            Such letters are termed as INFORMAL LETTERS. Because of the format and style of this letter is causal. You write to such people as if you were conversing with them.

 

 

The General Format for Informal Letters.

• At the beginning of this type of letter write your own name on the left hand side.
• After that, write the address and date of correspondence. The word Date should not be written while writing the date. Write the actual date.
• Below that, start with appropriate address on the lower left such as ‘My dear mother/ mamma’ ‘My Dear Papa’, ‘Dear Sarthak’, ‘Dear Sister’, etc.
• Below that main body of the letter in 3 or 4 paragraphs.
• At the end of this letter ‘Convey my regards to….’ Or ‘Give my love to’ say good bye like this.
• and finally write to the left side yours sincerely or ‘Sincerely yours’ or ‘Your loving son/daughter’. If it is appropriate, Write it down.
• Then sign it.

(At the signature line don’t write your name or put your signature in examination paper)
